About Us

Rolling Staircase is a lifestyle and book recommendations blog.  There are several authors reading and reviewing young adult fiction, biographies, and children’s books.  The team also shares craft and do-it-yourself ideas and recipes.  We all share a deep love for God and his word.  It is our hope that Rolling Staircase will become a place of creative and intellectual fellowship.

The first thing God did was to create.

“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.”

Genesis 1:1 NIV

And when He created us, it was in His image.  He provided us with gifts of the spirit.  Each of us have knowledge and unique abilities that allow us to spread his word in different ways.  Paul wrote

“Go after a life of love as if your life depended on it – because it does.  Give yourselves to the gifts God gives you.  Most of all, try to proclaim his truth.  If you praise him in the private language of tongues, God understands you but no one else does, for you are sharing intimacies just between you and him.  But when you proclaim his truth in everyday speech, you’re letting others in on the truth so that they can grow and be strong and experience his presence with you.”

1 Corinthians 14:1-3

While most of us have never spoken in tongues, we can probably attest to having a burst of creative inspiration that was so unexpected, it could only have come from God Himself!  Rolling Staircase is a place to share what works of literature, art, and food are inspiring us and strengthening our relationships with Him.

We’d love to hear how God is working in your life creatively.  If you’d like to share a story with us or have questions, email rollingstaircase at gmail.
